| About Our Organization Our Board of Directors is comprised of educated professionals who want to give back to the community. We began purely as an animal welfare organization. We quickly realized that many, much loved pets were surrendered needlessly because the owner was disadvantaged due to age and/or health. We discovered that many disadvantaged people are isolated. Their only companion is their pet. We researched the problem and discovered, to our horror, that many disadvantaged people would rather starve than watch their only friend perish. These disenfranchised individuals will feed their donated food from, "Meals on Wheels" and local food banks to their pets. This puts the human guardian of the pet at risk. We believe in the preservation of the human-animal bond. One cannot survive without the other. Our clients are both the human guardian and the pet.
